Since 1985, Inland Mechanical has delivered ASME-coded fabrication and nuclear-grade systems for the nation’s most demanding industries. What began as specialized pressure vessel fabrication has evolved into full-service mechanical contracting serving nuclear, energy, aerospace, chemical, and industrial clients nationwide.
Inland Mechanical was founded in Richland, Washington in 1985 to serve the nuclear and energy industries requiring precision fabrication and code compliance. Our early work focused on custom pressure vessels and specialized piping systems for DOE facilities and industrial clients.
Through the 1990s and 2000s, we expanded our certifications, adding ASME stamps and developing our NQA-1 nuclear quality assurance program. This enabled deeper involvement in commercial nuclear power, DOE projects, and high-specification industrial work. Our reputation for handling complex, one-off fabrication grew as we solved challenges larger contractors couldn’t accommodate and smaller shops couldn’t certify.
The last decade brought strategic expansion into CNC machining, aerospace work, and expanded field services. Today, we deliver complete mechanical contracting— from engineering support through fabrication, testing, and installation—while maintaining the specialized, responsive approach that built our reputation.
Inland Mechanical is one of few nationwide contractors holding both ASME U/R/PP stamps and NQA-1 nuclear quality assurance certification. This combination enables work others can't legally perform—from DOE facilities to commercial nuclear plants to aerospace manufacturers.
We don't chase commodity work. Our expertise is complex, custom projects requiring exotic materials, tight tolerances, and demanding documentation. When standard solutions don't exist, we engineer and fabricate what's needed.
From design support to final testing, we control every step. This integration ensures quality, protects schedules, and eliminates finger-pointing between design, fabrication, and installation.
We're large enough to handle significant projects and small enough to respond quickly. Our field crews mobilize nationwide for installations, shutdowns, and emergency repairs.
Four decades of continuous operation. Repeat clients. Mission-critical work for DOE, nuclear utilities, and aerospace. We've earned trust through performance.
Over 40 years, we’ve built deep expertise in:
DOE facilities, commercial nuclear power, nuclear waste processing
Component manufacturing, test equipment, specialized tooling
Process vessels, corrosion-resistant systems, specialty chemicals
General manufacturing, production equipment, custom fabrication
Secondary markets include food & beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other industrial
For 40 years, Inland Mechanical has delivered on a simple promise: when the project is critical, the codes are demanding, and the timeline is tight, we solve it. ASME-coded. NQA-1 documented. Delivered on schedule.
